• IMPORTANT NOTE ON CHARGE PORT BUTTON: Since this is an extension cord without a built-in signal transmitter (just like any extension cable), the button on the handle will NOT automatically open the Tesla charge port door. To plug in, simply open the port using your Tesla App, the interior touchscreen, or by gently pressing the charge port door with your hand (ensure the car is unlocked) before connecting.
• REQUIRED CONNECTION SEQUENCE: To ensure successful charging, ALWAYS connect the extension cable to your CHARGER FIRST. Wait 1-3 seconds for the system to initialize, then plug the other end into your vehicle. Plugging into the car first will disrupt the Tesla communication handshake and charging will fail.
